Information of Kanazawa

Kanazawa is located in the middle-north district in main island of Japan. In near Kanazawa area, there are also many hot springs or national parks. In Kanazawa city, there are many traditional places, Kanazawa Castel Park, Kenrokuen garden, Ohmi-cho market and so on. It is little hot in July, but it is a very good season to visit Kanazawa.

How to get to Kanazawa Station:

・From Tokyo

There are two ways to get Kanazawa from Tokyo (airport) by Train or Airplane:

Train: Tokyo or Ueno station to Kanazawa station by High Speed Train (Shin-Kansen)

Airplane: Tokyo (Haneda) International airport to Komatsu airport.

・From Kansai International airport

Kansai airport station to Shin-Osaka by the limited express train HARUKA, and transit the another express train Thunderbird to Kanazawa. It will take about 3 hours.

・From Komatsu airport

It is the most convenient way is to use an airport limousine bus to Kanazawa station. It will take about 1 hour. Fee is 1130JPY.

・From Toyama airport

Use shuttle bus to Toyama Station. And take the local train or Hokuriku Shin-Kansen Line. Using Hokuriku Shin-Kansen, it will take about 25min.

From Kanazawa Station to Kanazawa University

To “Kanazawa Daigaku Shizenken Mae（in front of Natural Science& Technology Hall）bus stops (Approx. 34-37min)

Catch a bus #91, 93, 94,or 97(Route name is Kanazawa Daigaku (Kakuma) from Bus Terminal#6, Kanazawa Station Kenrokuen Gate (East Gate).
